Financial Freedom! Doesn't that sound so great? Music to everyone's ears! It may not seem possible, but it truly can be.
Within this article we will share BIG TIPS from Go Girl Inspire to achieve financial freedom.
What Does Financial Freedom Do For You?
It allows you to live your life stress free and to really focus on those things are most important.
It helps you to live in the present and future not focused on the past debt or issues. It's sitting down and focusing on the reality of your situation. Trust I know it's not easy. I have gotten myself out of debt and than "life" happens and I was right back where I was before.
Can you relate? Let's review these game changing tips:
1-Look At Money In A Positive
This was hard for me as I always felt like I never had enough money or I never will. Although I managed to figure out how to pay my bills and make it work for me.
Many feel guilty for having money or wanting it. I know I used to feel a lot shame around that. Let's be real money is a tool and it allows us to be able to have food, a roof over our heads, pay our bills and most importantly we can help others with money.
Is money a big stress for you? Do you have shame around wanting or having money?
2-What Are Your Goals
It's easy to say, "I want to make more money." Why do you want to make more money? Do you have goals in mind for a week, month or a year? Just thinking about it isn't enough. You have to really sit down and analyze what are your goals.
Do you want to pay off half your debt in 6 months? If so what do your payments look like and how would you achieve it?
Do you want to pay off your mortgage? Save for retirement?
Getting clear about your goals will for sure make it easier to think you CAN do this and see the light at the end of the tunnel.
You may not achieve all your goals in that time frame and that is okay. It gives you the means to keep going and before you know it you will be there!
3-Track Your Spending
I know, I know..heavy eye roll! Not one of my favorites either, as it can feel like the big bad wolf watching over you all the time. Let's be real though, when I started to put all my bills in a spreadsheet and deduct those it really gave me a clear picture of what I had remaining and where my money was going.
Spending $20 here and $50 here can add up and soon you are left with $20 until next pay check.
Have you been there? I know I have with too many times to count!
Try to find a way that best fits your life to keep track of your spending. Maybe it's just a simple excel file, Quickbooks if you have a business and personal finances or there are a ton of great apps out there like Every Dollar and Mint.
You can do it! Try it for 30 days and see what happens!
Financial Freedom Is Near
It can seem very overwhelming to think about debt, spending and budgeting. The first step is to admit you need to do it and sit down with a pen and paper and write it all down. You might be surprised how it wasn't as bad as you thought or the plan seems much more achievable than ignoring it or wishing you would win the lottery!
